Biomaterials Research 2025 Impact Factor 9.6

Indexed as a Q1 Journal (Top 9%)
Dear Members of the Korean Society for Biomaterials,

We are pleased to announce that our official journal, Biomaterials Research, has achieved an Impact Factor of 9.6 for 2024 (5-Year IF = 12.5).

According to the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), the journal ranks 11th out of 124 journals in the Engineering, Biomedical category (Q1, top 9%) and 7th out of 55 journals in the Materials Science, Biomaterials category (Q1, top 13%), thereby earning Q1 status in both fields.

This achievement places Biomaterials Research on par with leading international journals such as Advanced Healthcare Materials and Acta Biomaterialia, reaffirming its growing global influence and academic standing.

Moving forward, the journal will continue striving to strengthen its academic impact and international reputation. With the dedicated efforts of the Editorial Board and our publisher, Science Partner Journals (SPJ), we aim to reach an Impact Factor of 10 in the coming year.

We sincerely thank all members who have contributed by submitting high-quality research, providing valuable peer reviews, and supporting the journal with continued interest.
We look forward to your ongoing engagement and support as Biomaterials Research advances toward even greater global recognition.
